What is a content management system and why might I need one?
Many customers prefer to be able to update their website themselves rather than paying a web development company, however unless they have someone that knows how to make websites they need some special software to do it. This is where a content management system or CMS comes in. A CMS will allow you to create, edit and delete pages on your website through a special easy to use administration panel. There’s no need to learn any coding languages, it really is as simple as using a word processing program.
Wherever possible I try to use pre-made content management systems which can boast years of extensive testing for usability and security. If there’s nothing out there that will work seamlessly for your business then I’m perfectly able to create a bespoke system for you.
