bindrr

bindrr was created because I couldn't find a good app to store my recipes in that I could use to access them through my phone or computer.

Built using CodeIgniter (HMVC) you can use it to store all of your recipes online to access them from any device that can browse the web.

CVYP

The Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project (CVYP) are a local organisation that aim to improve the social and personal development of young people.

I designed & built a custom WordPress website for them that can be easily updated through an administration panel.

What 2 Watch

What2Watch is a simple app I made to help you to pick which film to watch when you have a few options to choose from.

The app uses the Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB APIs to fetch information, ratings and images of the films you're thinking of watching on one page.

JGOliver & Son

A local plumbing company came to me with a website design they had already had made and asked me to integrate it into a CMS so that they could manage the content of the site themselves.

I used WordPress to power their site to quickly provide them with a tried and tested solution.

A quick WordPress site I built to show some of the best books of the post apocalyptic genre from Amazon

Unfortunately I don't get to update it as much as I'd like!

I’m James, a web developer from Newcastle in the UK. I have over 5 years of professional experience as a web developer creating a large range of websites for lots of different clients.

I have created everything from microsites and small brochure sites to huge online applications and ecommerce systems with thousands of products.

My passion is writing clean, efficient, elegant code that does its job perfectly. I believe that websites should do what they need to do well and shouldn't be filled with stuff that is of no use to the user.

I regularly build applications using CodeIgniter, Laravel and a few other PHP frameworks. I also write plugins, widgets and create themes for WordPress.
